Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP)The NZ US Council supports the conclusion of an ambitious, high quality and comprehensive Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) now under negotiation between eleven economies in the Asia Pacific region. A successful conclusion to the TPP negotiations will provide a freer trade and investment relationship between New Zealand and the United States. This is a goal that has been central to the NZUS Council since the Council’s inception in 2001. TPP will also provide a pathway to a broader Free Trade Area of the Asia Pacific (FTAAP).
