David Taylor

David Taylor is the Director of Americas Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  He was previously Director of Asia Division and before that was New Zealand’s Ambassador to South Korea (2002-06), with accreditation to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.  He has been New Zealand’s chief negotiator for climate change and a range of other environment issues and has also had diplomatic assignments in Kuala Lumpur, Washington DC and Suva.  He has degrees in law and history from the University of Otago.
