Fiona Cooper Clarke

Fiona has been BNZ's Head of Corporate Relations since March 2007. In this capacity she has oversight of BNZ's internal and external communications, stakeholder relationships, corporate responsibility, sponsorship & events and BNZ's Museum. Prior to joining BNZ, Fiona worked for Fonterra and the New Zealand Dairy Board for ten years in a range of trade policy leadership roles. She was also closely involved in setting up the Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand. Fiona joined the dairy industry in 1996 after nine years with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Her roles there included Private Secretary to the Minister of Trade Negotiations; First Secretary Trade at the New Zealand Embassy in Washington DC; Chairperson of the FAO Consultative Subcommittee on Surplus Disposals; junior foreign policy advisor in the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet and a secondment to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra. Fiona has an honours degree in Political Science from the University of Canterbury.
