Jonathan Kings

Prior to being appointed in his current role, Jonathan was Group Manger for Strategy and External Relations for NZTE. At NZTE Jonathan has also held positions as GM Marketing and Corporate and Acting CEO of Industry NZ.

Jonathan Kings has recently returned from a two-year secondment with the OECD ending in October 2006. This secondment was a first for NZTE and an exciting opportunity to play a role in influencing the focus of the OECD's work in economic development related issues.

Jonathan was part of the original Industry NZ establishment team and was responsible for establishing the core corporate functions of the organisation. Prior to joining Industry New Zealand Jonathan Kings was chief executive of rbz Group, a trans-Tasman strategy consulting company. He is a specialist in mergers and acquisitions, organisation change management, and governance issues. Jonathan was heavily involved in the deregulation and privatisation of the New Zealand electricity industry. Jonathan is based in Wellington.
