The NZ US Council presents its deepest sympathy to the family of Board member Phil Lewin who died suddenly on 12 August 2008.
Speaking at Phil’s funeral in Wellington on 18 August Council Chairman Rt Hon James Bolger recalled Phil’s enormous contribution to the Council’s work and to New Zealand’s international business interests.
Council Executive Director Stephen Jacobi said Phil was an extraordinarily gifted strategic thinker and communicator with a passion to use his gifts to create a better world.
“The Council has lost one of its staunchest supporters. New Zealand has lost a gifted leader and I have lost a friend” said Mr Jacobi.
